Unexpected Update

I had to update the version of PHP on my web host, which inadvertently broke my old WordPress theme. Apparently this blog still comes up on Google sometimes, so I figured I’d keep it up and just switch to another theme. Apologies if some links/images are broken now.

As I’m here, a quick life update:

I spent several years learning gamedev, and I released Monospaced Lovers on PC/PS5/Switch in late 2024.
I’m still available on X, Steam, and various Discords.
If you need to email me for whatever reason, admin[at]scarletstring.moe is the safest bet.

I pretty much left the core otaku community when mobage got big in the mid-2010s, but in some ways, it really is true that we’re here forever. It’s been interesting to run into old usernames from the 2000s aniblogosphere (remember that word?) in recent years.

For many of us, I think there’ll always be some aspect of otaku culture that pulls us back in, even if it’s not in the way that we expect. And I think that’s pretty cool.
