Saimoe 2008 Finals: A win for our beloved twintail tsundere

by eternal on November 2, 2008

Everyone seems to have forgotten than twincest is always a viable option…

It was a long battle for all of us, contestants and reporters alike – though much more so for those of us who actually bothered to report. However, I do believe that the majority of the community has had their eyes on the tournament since its beginning, watching in both anticipation and fear as their favourite girls either dominated the competition or were mercilessly defeated by something involving Hayate or KyoAni. Regardless of your personal preferences, however, the tournament has finally come to a close, concluding the epic battle between the Hiiragi twins: and Kagamin has come out on top.

The final vote count, for those who are interested, was 1037 (Kagami) to 976 (Tsukasa), meaning that there was less than a hundred votes between them. A much closer match than I anticipated, though it’s become quite obvious by now that Japan often as very different tastes when compared to us English speakers.

But in any case, let us celebrate! Or not. Personally, I’m a fan of both of the Hiiragi twins so I wouldn’t have been disappointed either way, but I’m sure many of you have lost interest in the tournament after seeing certain specific characters – whoever they may be – lose. Either way, though, I believe Kagamin-sama deserves at least a little praise for making it this far, despite her defeat of Nagisa.

And while we celebrate, new anime are being aired and new characters are being created, all in preparation for the next tournament. So, until next year, then…

AW YEAH KAGAMI.

Sad that balsamic vinegar did not win. I mean, I would have liked the outcome either way, but it was a close and well fought fight (judging from the graph)

It’s been a long ride compiling and collecting. And I think I actually really enjoyed it ^_^

Also, I moved, http://finality.dasaku.net.

I stopped caring when Nagisa was defeated (noooo!). But I kind of wish Tsukasa won because…well more moe, but mainly because of the Lucky Star OAV. Oh well. There definitely could have been worse winners.

Oh well, I’m looking forward to next year. Lots of good candidates already.
